A small accident that worked out well

I needed Bumper Scuff repair after a rushed moment left a noticeable mark on my car, but what followed was a fairly smooth fix that restored the look.

It happened near Trafford Centre on a crowded afternoon when I slightly clipped a low barrier while parking. The scratch looked deeper than expected, and I knew it would stand out too much if left.

Later that evening, I started searching online and came across AutoScratch. The site felt easy to follow, so I sent over a few pictures and a brief description. I got a reply within a reasonable time with a quote that seemed fair, and we arranged a suitable time.

On more info the day, the technician arrived on time and walked me through the process in a friendly way. First, the damaged area was properly cleaned to remove any dirt. Then came the sanding, which evened the surface. A small amount of filler was used since the scratch had a slight depth, and once that set, the colour matching began. I was impressed by how closely they matched the paint, it looked very close. The blending process followed, where the new paint was softly merged into the surrounding area so there were no harsh lines. Finally, everything was polished, giving it a smooth finish. Watching each step made me realise how much detail goes into what seems like a simple repair.

Once it was all done, the scratch was basically gone unless I really looked for it. The whole experience felt easy to manage, especially since I did not need to leave home. The turnaround was well paced, and the workmanship was clearly skilled. That said, I do think this kind of service is best for smaller issues rather than anything too severe. For my situation though, it worked out exactly how I needed, and driving past Heaton Park again without noticing the scratch felt like a small win.
